«Are we family?»
Illustrations for the Roportagen-Magazin, August 2021
Client: Master of Art Education and Cultural Publishing ZHdK and the Reportagen Magazin.
Project: The students in Master of Art Education and Cultural Publishing at ZHdK developed a speciel-edition of the «Reportagen» Magazine, which discusses the topic «family» under the title «Are we family?, Family - A construction site and how we narrate it. What ist family? Why is it so impactful as ideal, norm and as fuel for stories?».
Job: I had the pleasure to create three illustrations, each reacting on a different quote: «Make kin not babies.» by Donna J. Haraway, «When the girl asked her grandmother why she did it that way, her grandmother said: That's how my mother did it.» by Sheila Heti and «Meine Heimat ist Kindheit.» by Miguel Delibes.
